The following is a list of available humanitarian aid projects in which Celebrate Children International is currently involved.

Celebration Gifts

Due to the increase in baggage costs and in an effort to economically support Guatemala business, the Humanitarian Aid team has decided that Celebration Gifts would be best spent in-country. As such, two special Christmas projects will take place for the children of Guatemala.

During mid-November, the Team will be traveling to Guatemala to sponsor a special trip to an amusement park for the day. Sponsors will receive a DVD of footage from the children's fun day.

In addition, funds will be provided to the orphanage to purchase each child a gift all their own for Christmas day. This will also allow for a more “specific” gift for each child. Please remember that not all children have a sponsor, but all children will receive a gift. Please be as generous as possible to help ensure that there are funds for each child's gift. NO gift is too small or too large to make a difference.

If you would like to make a donation to our Celebration Gift Christmas fund, you may do so through PayPal (see Celebrations Gifts link on the right) or by sending a check made out to Celebrate Children International. Please indicate on the check that you want the money to be used for Celebration Gifts.

Loss of Adoption Humanitarian Fees

With the closure of the Guatemalan adoption program on January 1, 2008, came an ever-increasing dire situation for Guatemalan orphanages. When the adoption program was open, each adoptive family donated $500 for humanitarian aid purposes to be used where most needed. In addition, for children being adopted from an orphanage, a large portion of their adoption fees was used to fund the orphanages everyday operation and special needs. With adoptions being closed in Guatemala, this means there are more children than ever being admitted into the orphanages with little-to-no government assistance and the loss of adoption fees that once helped to sustain the orphanage are no more.

Open-ended donations for Guatemalan orphanages are needed now more than ever. Please consider donating via the PayPal link on the right that says "Support of ongoing needs in Guatemalan orphanages."

Financial & Tangible Contributions

The needs at all the orphanages are great and ongoing. CCI’s Humanitarian Aid Coordinator remains in contact with orphanage directors to assess ongoing concerns and how they might be met. At this time, 100% of all contributions go directly towards the purchase of items needed for the children and the orphanage. Donations can be made on line (via PayPal thorough our website) or by sending a check via regular mail.

In addition, if you or someone you know will be going to Guatemala and would like to donate tangible items on their trip, please contact Carmen for a list of current needs. Items can be dropped off at the orphanage or pick-up can be arranged. Please do not donate tangible items to the CCI office unless specifically asked to do so.
