Bam lost his father when he was very young and relied on his mother for most of his life. Whenhis mother could not afford to care for him, he had no other options and was brought to the orphanage. Bam is a good student, and is in the first grade at the Kamashi School. He likes reading, and playing outdoors with his best friend, Shanki. He would like to be a teacher when he grows up, and one day visit Addis Ababa.
