Kamashi Orphanage

Celebrate Children International is a non-profit organization making a difference in the lives of children. Our primary focus is international adoptions, but we also have a Humanitarian Aid Program to help the children less fortunate that do not come to the USA with an adoptive family. Part of our Humanitarian Aid is helping the operation of a children's orphanage and school in a small village named Kamashi, Ethiopia. The Kamashi Orphanage and School is a 500-bed facility; complete with a full school, team housing, and administration buildings.

The Kamashi Orphanage ministers to the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of children. This is an opportunity to help run the orphanage by sponsoring a child You can get involved in helping the impoverished children of Ethiopia. Help us accomplish the excellent administration of the Kamashi Orphanage. The Kamashi Orphanage is much more than a fine facility. It is staffed by loving and concerned people who care for the children as if they were their own.

Who will help the children?

Will you say ?I do? ?

With your help and other families, who have a heart to see a child loved and cared for we can do a big difference in the life of so many children less fortunate to be adopted.

Benishangul-Gumuz is one of the poorest regions of one of the poorest countries in the world.  There are an estimated 40,000 orphans in the Benishangul-Gumuz region.  The orphans represent the poorest segment of a society and suffer most with no parents to guide them in their struggle for survival in an already cruel world.  Most orphaned children in this region are truly without hope.  The Kamashi Orphanage and school is able to offer hope, and the opportunity to truly transform the lives of these children that never asked to be born in to this world.
The Kamashi Orphanage was established in response to the Ethiopian Government's plea to come and help care for the orphans in his region of Ethiopia. The Kamashi Orphanage is in the middle of such a remote region where the needs are the greatest.

In a land of mud huts and straw thatched roofs, the Kamashi Orphanage stands out in contrast. Though located in a primitive land, it's constructed with modern technology like; concrete walls and floors, tiled roofs, electrical wiring, and plumbing.

The orphanage campus was constructed by the Ethiopian Government. The campus has a capacity of 500 children, and includes facilities for housing, feeding and educating the children in first rate accommodations.

Children sleep in dorm rooms which they share with seven others. Each child has their own bed and a place to store their cloths and personal items.

The orphanage will provide food, housing, education, physical care, and social and life skills training.  Children at the orphanage will also be provided a Christian education and care that will enable them to become responsible and contributing members of society and a witness for Christ.  The center will provide primary and secondary education and Vocational training.
