HOPING TO ADOPT FROM HAITI?
CCI and other agencies have recieved an unprecedented number of inquiries about adoption from Haiti. Unfortunately, at this moment, no new adoptions can start from Haiti. Please read more information here that is being provided to those inquiring.
DONATIONS INFORMATION:
On January 12, 2010, a 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti's capital city of Port-au-Prince causing massive devastation and loss of life. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
CCI has received reports that all of the children in CCI's adoption program are safe, but there has been structural damage to at least one of the creches we work with and workers are injured. The need for monetary donations is great to supply even the basic necessities such as food, water and shelter. CCI will send 100% of donations received to assist the orphanages in this time of dire need.

Over the years, CCI has found that more families want to adopt a girl than a boy. While all children need homes, it is much easier to find a home for a girl than for a boy and this is especially true for older boys. All children need love; all children need a place to call home.
Sometime ago, a friend of CCI's created this beautiful video (click image to watch) of why adopting a boy can be a blessing. At any given time, CCI has many boys waiting for a forever family. No matter the color, no matter the country, no matter the age, a child is waiting for you.

Featured Program Ethiopia
CCI is pleased with the growth of our Ethiopian program. One hundred children have now found families since our program opened. This is an excellent program for families open to adopting children of all ages.
Our program manager spends considerable time in Ethiopia, making frequent trips there to meet the children, assess their development and meet, photograph and video waiting children. We work with 6 different orphan centers and have many older waiting children as well as younger children needing families.
